Gather documentation including school records such as an IEP and report cards, psycho-educational reports,
and work samples.
-
Once it is determined that we can help with the educational needs of your child, we will discuss what
treatment plan we recommend. If we cannot meet your child’s needs, we will refer you to someone who
can.
-
A Reading Therapist will be assigned to your child
-
He/she will contact you directly to set up days and times to meet. We strongly recommend seeing your
child twice a week, to move forward at a reasonable pace.
-
During school breaks we see your child more frequently, which will allow the growth to occur
more quickly.
-
The Reading Therapist will meet with you briefly after each session to let you know how that specific
session went. Most students leave the session tired, remember we are working to rewire the brain!
-
We monitor the progress of our students regularly to determine that adequate progress is being made.
We can always arrange a phone call or a specially scheduled meeting to review this data.
