Frequently Asked Questions
We provide effective reading therapy to students through individualized sessions. We will help you advocate for your child and understand what to do to ensure your child’s rights are served.
Before starting any reading therapy, we meet with you and your child. We get to know what your expectations for reading therapy are. We examine all records you bring. We let you know what we can do for you. If it seems that we are not a good match, we will refer you somewhere else. At any time, we are available for meetings to discuss concerns. Parents are usually greatly relieved to have found a place where they know their child will be safe and successful.
A student is always given personalized instruction by a highly qualified reading therapist. The relationship between therapist and student is part of our success. We match the skills of the therapist with the needs of the child. We also recognize that personalities should be compatible to build a positive relationship. One student, one therapist. That’s the only way we do it.
A minimum of two times per week is required to show growth. Intensity is a major factor in the success of our interventions. Research as well as our experience show that two times per week results in good growth as well as meeting the needs of the family.
Our sessions are always provided one-on-one, not in a group. You will always have the same therapist. Our therapists are the best! The cost per session is $75. All materials are included. The session is one full hour with the therapist. Preparation for the session and analysis after sessions are part of the $75 fee.
